The Thunder Foundation goes from strength to strength

Journalism for me, means that I spend a lot of time with my attention focused on negative news

The job of the journalist is to be the eyes and ears of the public, looking at everything and challenging where things are not as they should be.

To have become involved with the Thunder Foundation feels like a welcome break.  Team Thunder now involves people all around the world, working hard in many ways to improve the lives of the children at the Thunder Mutaratara Learning Centre (TMLC).

Politics can be very depressing and this weekend has left me feeling quite wrung out with it all.

This post will talk about how politics can affect someone and how it has left me feeling I want to raise money for the Thunder Foundation.

Teacher from Bexhill brings hope for disadvantaged kids in Kenya

The kids from Maturatara School say thanksBy Lucette Davies

The Thunder Foundation is a charity founded by  Raad Swais a PE teacher with a passion for helping disadvantaged kids in Kenya.

Kenya may be the regional hub for trade and finance in East Africa but the country has high crime rates and enormous corruption problems at all levels, meaning many children are denied an education.

The Mutaratara Learning Centre is provided by the Thunder Foundation and offers free food, uniforms, books and health care as well as education for some of the most needy children in Nairobi.
