Who cares if the Lib Dems become extinct?

Many people will be relieved that conference season is over.  As each party has clamoured to present a leader’s speech that will catapult them to the top of the polls many people have seen the pledges they made as attempts to ‘buy’ votes.

The Liberal Democrats were no different, Nick Clegg announced a coalition agreement to give an extra £120m of funding into the Mental Health budget, £40m this year and £80m in 2015/16.

With support for the Liberal Democrats already halved since 2010, according to the Lord Ashcroft poll, is this really such a great announcement?

Something positive after a very negative week of news
